The Red River Harness Club was co-founded by Phil Hoglund & Gary Griffeth in July of 1987. In 2007 the club voted
to include saddle riders. The club participates in local community activities and conducts club rides/drives in interesting
areas of North Dakota and Minnesota. Some community activities are: giving rides at West Fargo Winter Days, Pioneer Days,
Green School Drive (with camping at Moon lake) etc. The club encourages family participation and awards belt buckles for those
that complete a required number of drives/rides. The club also publishes a monthly newsletter. This website is a work in progress
and will in the future include pictures, meeting minutes, a schedule of events & other interesting items.
Our Mission
The purpose and scope of the Red River Harness and Saddle Club is to promote interest and participation in Equine Pleasure
Driving, Riding and History of the use of Equines in harness and under saddle.
